The Offspring Announce Japanese Tour

The Offspring will tour Japan this fall in support of their new record "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace".

The group will hit Tokyo on October 6th and play two or three day residencies in a number of major cities. The new record, the follow up to 2003's "Splinter", arrived last week (June 17th).

Tour dates are below:

10/07 - Tokyo Studio - Coast
10/09 - Nagoya - Zepp
10/10 - Nagoya - Zepp
10/12 - Sendai - Zepp
10/14 - Tokyo - Studio Coast
10/15 - Tokyo - Studio Coast
10/16 - Tokyo - Studio Coast
10/18 - Osaka - Zepp
10/20 - Osaka - Zepp
10/21 - Osak - Zepp

Seriously, you know what really pisses me off!? How over here where the band CAME FROM we get the regular cd, but Japan always gets one or two bonus tracks! WTF IS UP WITH THAT!?!

Foreign markets get the bonus tracks BECAUSE the band is from another continent. Rationale? Because the band is from America, they don't tour as much on other continents as they do at home, so their albums get more songs overseas as compensation for not doing as many shows.

Japan actually has good rock music. I like The Pillows and Dir en Grey.

I live in Tokyo. Been here for 3 years. The music scene is great here. You know why they get extra tracks? Cause CDs costs about $25 USD to buy. You better get something extra for that!

I live in Tokyo. Been here for 3 years. The music scene is great here. You know why they get extra tracks? Cause CDs costs about $25 USD to buy. You better get something extra for that!

i bought this cd expecting it to be like splinter, which i'll admit i was a little disappointed with. but being a diehard offspring fan since i was in diapers(the first cd i ever received was their deubt) i bought this cd hoping for the best, and i was floored. this cd is amazing, and i know i'm just kinda blabbing on and on but i just cant get over how good it is...

oh yeah, please do an american tour to follow up the japan tour, i'd love to finally see you guys live

Japanese people get bonus tracks because importing an album is cheaper than buying it locally, so they need something to tide them over.
