Alt-rockers The Used will top the bill of the first "Rockstar Energy Drink Get a Life Tour," which is scheduled to cross the US this spring.
The trek--which will also feature indie-rockers Straylight Run, alt-rockers Army of Me, percussion troupe Street Drum Corps and an unsigned battle of the bands winner--is due to kick off April 2 in Las Cruces, NM, and visit 25 college campuses and venues through May 10. Dates and cities are listed below; venue and ticket details will be announced shortly, according to a press release.
Apparently, The Used is in high demand amongst college students around the country, and this trek marks the band's first full tour of higher-education institutions.
"Even though I never went to college, we are gonna rock all of those smart kids that come to the show with some of our new songs from 'Shallow Believer' as well as our older stuff," frontman Bert McCracken said in a statement.
The Used dropped "Shallow Believer," a download-only extended EP, last week. The set, which is currently No. 33 on iTunes' Top 100 chart, comprises B-sides and rarities from past recording sessions.
