Alt-rock outfit Toad The Wet Sprocket will take to the road this spring for a quick club excursion, a year after their most recent reunion run.
The California-based band - which officially broke up in 1998, but has continued to work together in various configurations over the years - will return to the road for a May 14 performance in Richardson, TX, and continue on for another five shows scattered throughout the eastern portion of the nation. After a two-month summer break, the band will take on two California concerts: July 23 in San Francisco and July 24 in Napa.

Toad The Wet Sprocket hasn't released a studio album since 1997's "Coil," which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200 album chart, though the band did issue a few posthumous affairs, including the 2004 live CD "Welcome Home: Live at the Arlington Theatre, Santa Barbara 1992," which chronicles the band's first show in its hometown following the breakthrough success of 1991's platinum-selling "Fear."
Frontman Glen Phillips continues his solo career with sporadic performances. The singer last released "The Secrets Of The New Explorers," an online-only EP that surfaced in 2008 and follows his 2006 full-length album, "Mr. Lemons."
