AVN.com reports that publicist Janie Liszewski has left the adult industry and her company High Profile Media to embark on a new chapter of her career. Effective immediately, Liszewski will be the exclusive PR rep for rocker Eddie Van Halen.
"This new venture does not allow me to do publicity in adult any longer," Liszewski explained to AVN.com last month, "but I want the opportunity to thank all of those who chose HPM for PR and also to all of the media, as I have worked in adult in several capacities since I was 18, and have made many good friends."
Liszewski met up with the Van Halen organization while working on the publicity for director Michael Ninn's "Sacred Sin" (Ninn Worx), for which Eddie Van Halen composed two songs.
The publicist's current slate includes the upcoming Van Halen tour scheduled for summer 2007. "I am so excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a legendary musical force and look forward to going on the road this summer," she added. "Obviously this is a dream come true in many capacities. I would like to thank everyone for all of their support for so many years."
Rumors continue to swirl that David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen will reunite at least one more time in Van Halen. Eddie and his brother Alex are prepping for a tour this year, with Eddie's 15-year-old son Wolfgang on bass instead of Michael Anthony, but no singer has been officially announced. Eddie told Guitar World magazine, "I'm telling Dave, 'Dude, get your ass up here and sing, bitch! Come on!'... As it stands right now, the ball is in Dave's court. Whether he wants to rise to the occasion is entirely up to him, but we're ready to go."
As for having his son in the band, Eddie said, "Wolfgang breathes new life into what we're doing. He brings youthfulness to something that's inherently youthful. He's only been playing bass for three months, but it's spooky. He's locked tight and puts an incredible spin on our (stuff). The kid is kicking my ass! He's spanking me now, even though I never spanked him. To have my son follow in my footsteps on his own, without me pushing him into it, is the greatest feeling in the world."
Thanks for the info to Blabbermouth.net.

: In the beginning of the Van Halen troubles, I really thought it was Dave who was the antagonist. I'm finding out that Eddie, although truly gifted, is the unstable one. Eddie acts likes an "Axl Rose" at times. My God, can they just set it aside and reunite? They dont have many more years left to play around with, so they better hurry.POSTED: 01/08/2007 - 03:16 pm / quote |

: Why do you guys get caught up on the stupidest ****ing details? What do you rather have Van Halen not tour than have EVH's son on bass? Or are you expecting someone to wave their magic wand and get the original band back together from 78' turn the clocks forward Quit BITCHING!!!!! On a lighter not, can't wait, I hope they come to Pittsburgh. Anyone who thinks they are a 'real' Van Halen fan and think this is a disgrace what the **** else would you want!? major player in the porno industry and band well known for their female-related shenanigans.
hmmmmm?
and it would be great if they did a world tour, preferably including australia. the aerosmith/motley crue tour didn't do so, and i desperately hope this one will make up.POSTED: 01/09/2007 - 08:27 am / quote |

: Although I agree that he cant cant be that bad and that van halen bass tabs really aren't the hard part I totally agree with the guy who said some thing about the music industry being about who you know not how you play I think there's a lot more of that then there probobley should be. I dont want to sound petty but I think I speak for a good portion of us when I say "That sucks I wish I was Eddie Van Halens Son" POSTED: 01/09/2007 - 12:34 pm / quote |

: What everyone fails to mention is that although Michael Anthony's bass lines aren't difficult to play, it's the other thing that he brought to the band that will be sorely missing: his singing.
Think about all of those songs where Antony's back up vocals are as much part of the song as Ed's guitar or Dave telling the world that he wants to screw some woman in a deep whispered voice. hahahaha... POSTED: 01/28/2007 - 02:15 pm / quote |

: And yes, we've all heard about Diamond Dave being the jerk but I've known all along that it was Eddie. After a few years of hearing the entire world tell him he was the second coming of Jimi and was THE guitar god of the ages, it went to his head. Listen or read what what he says in interviews, he's a world class ass. POSTED: 01/28/2007 - 02:16 pm / quote |
