that may be so, but since the show is coming on tv this thursday, i assume they're doing the story to raise awareness and get people to actually see it, sort of put it into the public's eye.

i'm not a huge fan of the who, but this should still be pretty awesome.

Nah, Foo Fighters will NEVER out-play the Who. Foo Fighters are only up there because there aren't any other good bands out there, and they only won so many awards for that Echoes album because WHAT ELSE WOULD!?!?

Compare "Silence, Echoes, Patience and Grace" to Quadraphenia. Then Laugh

Actually MTV did a tribute to Metallica once. It was pretty cool. As for Megadeth, idk if they did something like that for them.

As Pres. George Bush once said, "Fool me once shame on...shame on you
Uh fool me ya can't get fooled again!"

This will be awesome. I'd love to see them all unite for the last ten minutes and do "Won't Get Fooled Again" All these bands are immensely talented.

Thank you for being competent enough to understand what I was saying. I wasn't comparing The Who and the Foo Fighters. I've been playing drums for 16 years and can play both Quadrophenia and ESPG, I know they're diffucult and I respect Taylor a lot as a player. By the way, ESPG should of won album of the year if it wsan't for that crack ***** Amy "Gutterball" Winehouse. That was a crock of shit.

Back from watching the WHO vh1 honors. It was really fantastic show, best ive seen in many years. Im not a Foo fan, im a Who fan, so i cant say if they played well but they really went at the who songs. Incubus and Pearl jam were the main performances for me, and dear god they were really good. They were so good, i hope i can purchase this whole show or their songs sometime. The WHO deserve every drop of adulation and honors they get, theres something amazing on most every album the WHO ever made. Theres no one that will ever have the same stage presense or intensity of playing in quite the same manner ever again as Pete Townsend. Nobody with the vocal strength of Roger Daltrey. IF it hurts you to sing Roger we forgive you, put down the microphone. The Who set themselves was better than very good. See i'm different maybe i enjoy it when the who is off a little or Pete goes all different on us on stage on guitar. I dont mind it a bit, it keeps it fresh for me, keeps it live and enjoyable. Then you get people writing negative reviews that think they have a musical ear, but really don't. Thats the age we live in right now, people that aren't really qualified to have an accurate opinion are letting the rudeness come out of them. Thats what we see on amazon, and other sites. I was guilty of this myself once in a while, but at least i can see that. Anyway a great Who tribute Who show it was, one for the ages.
