Chris Cornell Bonds To Video Royale

Chris Cornell has penned the song for the movie Casino Royale, the latest in the James Bond series of films. Cornell, who has appeared in the movie Singles and was the frontman for Soundgarden and now Audioslave, says that working on the video was a unique opportunity.

Cornell compared working on a movie video as opposed to a traditional music video, and he hopes fans like the clip for "You Know My Name."

"My gut feeling is that it'll be really great. Also I've never done a video with film footage in it. I have no idea what that's going to be like. Usually you're used to seeing your bass player and your drummer in your video with you and not James Bond and movie. So, we'll see. I feel because the movie is great, it'll be a great thing. I have no reason to think that it'll be anything but great."

"You Know My Name," was co-written by David Arnold, who penned the rest of the soundtrack for the film. Meanwhile, the Audioslave song "Revelations" is slowly moving up the Alternative Rock and Active Rock charts. The band is not touring in support of the album for the rest of the year, but you can find dates by The Nightwatchman, which is the political alter-ego of Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello.

You gotta love that mans amazing voice. I like the song but it is a little different for a Bond track, better than Madonna's on the last one though.

yeah, chris cornell rocks, I dont think he would agree to do a movie soundtrack if he wasnt sure he could come up with a song for it. I was just thinking, just lik madonna acted in the last bond film, you guys inmagine tom morello or chris cornell acting in this one?? lol

its a decent pop-rock song. i can see what theyre doing with the direction of bond and this sort of suits that. die hard fans probably wont like it.

I disagree, I think it is their best yet, one of the things I like about Audioslave is how each album is different and has it's own personality. I've liked most everything they've done so far, except for a couple of songs on Out of Exile.

I think we're doomed. I don't like the new James Bond actor, I don't like "You Know My Name". Don't get me wrong, Audioslave is cool and Chris Cornell has a good voice. I just don't like his new song, and I think the new James Bond movie is gonna suck. I'm hoping I'll be wrong, however.

Cornell's cover of Billie Jean was so different from the original. I loved it, its on a recorded set in Swerden unplugged for those wanting to hear it. He does other great covers of Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello and Bob Marley too ^_^

original fire was the worse audioslave song ever. I'm a big audioslave song and i like alot of their stuff, but none of it compares to their first album.

Watching that "behind the scenes" look it seems cornell can't sing without fancy effects,as that sounded crap hearing him sing
