Disturbed Announces Music As A Weapon With Killswitch, Lacuna

Disturbed has announced its plans for their Music As A Weapon IV tour, and they've recruited Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and Chimaira to be their openers as artists are still being booked. It will expand to an all day event with tattoo booths, freestyle motocross, BMX and Skate extreme sports athletes strutting their stuff. The tour kicks off March 20 and wraps up May 16 in Disturbed's hometown of Chicago. Tickets for the tour will go on sale as early as this weekend so check out the disturbed website for more info.

Guitarist Dan Donegan said in an interview a few months ago that Disturbed has been looking forward to this year's tour to showcase their new album, Indestructible.

"We're looking forward to getting back out and having a longer set time, doing a headlining tour to give us more of an ability to do more of the new stuff as well too, and just kind of change out whatever it is we... at any moment change out and play something different here or there."

The Music As A Weapon festival will begin at 2pm in each city. Specific tattoo artists, bands and extreme sports athletes for each city will be announced in the coming weeks.

I heard something about Draimen (cant spell it) not being able to sing "down with the sickness" anymore for some reason. A friend of mine heard that over the summer. Can someone verify/expand on that?

this looks like a sweet tour, I'd love to see Killswitch in concert, and Disturbed and Lacuna Coil are awesome in concert

yeah, I've never heard of something like that before
but now that you mention it... I saw them at Mayhem festival last year and down with the sickness was terrible, it was a great show, but he was singing terrible and completely out of tune

maybe all that screaming has finally damaged his voice...

I saw Disturbed a couple of years ago and they put on a great show, but I kinda lost interest after Indestructable, it was an ok album imo. But it would be cool to see Killswitch Engaged though.

Disturbed are just a real fun band to listen to, but Killswitch are so lame now and I don't know about the 2 other bands. If it's a decent price I might go, but it would be better if I liked the other bands.

Theyve got a date for Portland Maine, and they're 40 bucks. Hell, for an all day music fest with Disturbed and KSE, sporting events, tat parlors, 40 bucks is a ****in steal. I wonder if I can get some backstage passes, eh?

Saw them in November and he sounded just fine on all those screaming parts he does (Down With The Sickness, Prayer, Stricken, etc).
