Patrick Stump, who only writes the music for the band, about the war of words in the scene.

"Pete's the lyricist, and I'm the music guy. I think the lyrics -- if I can speak for him a little bit -- the lyric is just a general commentary about people worrying too much about what other people think about the things they hold dear to them be it their beliefs, their taste, or their everything, and I think that's kind of silly. That's ultimately what the song is about."
Fall Out Boy's new album Infinity On High is entrenched in the Billboard 200 album chart, and the song and video "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" is still at Number One on TRL and has recently been remixed by Kanye West. Fans can hear the track at the Fall Out Boy website, falloutboyrock.com.
