Gene Simmons Kisses The Apprentice

Donald Trump's famous show The Apprentice is back on the air January 3 with an all-star celebrity version of the show, and Gene Simmons is in it to win it. He's pitting his business skills against the likes of country star Trace Adkins, model Carol Alt, actor Stephen Baldwin, Sopranos star Vincent Pastore, and boxer Lennox Lewis among others.

"Anybody on this team can actually rise up and be the last one standing. Of course I don't intend for that to happen, but in order for that not to happen and in order for the last man to be standing to be Gene Simmons, I need to keep my guard up -- from the professionals to the amateurs. And we have some amateurs on this show, and I mean that in the very nicest way."

When Gene says amateurs he's relating to his competition as compared to the marketing empire he built with Kiss. He said that he's poised to be The Apprentice.

The Apprentice, Celebrity Edition kicks off January 3 on NBC-TV. Shows will be on every week so fans can gage the demon's progress. Others he's competing against include Nadia Comaneci, Tiffany Fallon, Jennie Finch, Nely Galan, Marilu Henner, Piers Morgan, Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, and Tito Ortiz.

the only reason i would be worried about gene doing well is his social skills. On the show they have to work on teams for a while don't they? I think he will try and run everything, micromanage, and basically get on everyone's nerves. Also, his attitude when dealing with Trump face to face might be a little abrasive. the only thing I think Kiss was really good for was inspiring so many future bands that actually had talent. The list of people who say Kiss got them onto guitar is pretty big. People like Dave Mustaine and Dimebag were huge Kiss fans, but they have a lot more talent then all the members of Kiss put together. Kiss was the ultimate gimmick band and, while they did churn out the occaisonal memorable tune, they werent a very good band. On a different note, why do theses celebrities need more money, especially Simmons?
