I'd guess they will wait till Alice in Chains release their new album. You know...they've bled all the other AIC albums dry. Such an original sound. :/

I love Godsmack's slow songs, but I also love their in your face metal songs. Hopefully it will be another awesome album!

Don't think i've heard anything other than their first album. I did like that but these guys are the poster boys for nu-metal. "More Aggressive" is always a good thing. As a matter of fact, that would be a good band name.

Haha true. Godsmack still aren't the worst out there though. They could be like Limp Bizkit and their comeback, which is going going to be a fail of epic proportions.

"IT's gonna be really aggressive - I don't know, it's really premature right now."

That sounds completely reassuring. Every heavy band says their new album is going to be 'aggressive' or 'back to our roots' and it's usually just garbage.

I'll listen to the album when it comes out and decide for myself.

I'm a hardcore Alice In Chains fan. That being said, I don't think Godsmack's music sounds anything like AIC's music..... however, the Godsmack logo on the other hand is a different story. The sun with the tribal art surrounding the sun is directly ripped from AIC's 'Dirt' album. Well..... there's that, and the fact that AIC has a song entitled 'Godsmack' off of the 'Dirt' album.

haha, it sounds like I'm trashing Godsmack; I'm actually not. I'm a fan. I'm looking forward to the new album... and they always kick ass live!

Rokeman :
Alice in Chains are a massive inspiration on them, and I'm sure they're happy that they've inspired others with their music and image.

And I don't think Godsmack are ripping them off. I like both bands.

Now I have even more to look forward to.

Godsmack
Megadeth
Alice in Chains

And others
