Guitar Hero Metallica Features Lemmy Kilmister Of Motorhead

Lemmy Kilmister, iconic bassist for Motorhead, is making a guest appearance with some old friends as he will forever be immortalized as a Guitar Hero character. Lemmy will be performing the band's hit "Ace Of Spades" for the upcoming Guitar Hero Metallica edition, which comes out March 29.

So does Lemmy think he be picking up some younger fans not familiar with Motorhead?

Guitar Hero Metallica which will be released by Activision with a ship date this March for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Look for the upcoming documentary "Lemmy," which is slated to be released in 2009. Produced and directed by Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski, "Lemmy" was shot using a combination of HD Video and Super 16 mm film and includes interviews with those who know him best, including Slash, Dave Grohl, Mick Jone (the Clash), Alice Cooper and Steve Vai, to name a few.

The Ace of Spades they did for GHI was TOO easy. It had a crazy ass solo in the background but you only hit a note, like, every five seconds. It pissed me off. Now that they've advanced the gameplay I'm looking forward to playing all the notes.

you're saying that video games are a childish setting? really? have you played a grand theft auto game? the newer resident evils? the getaway? these games are laden with vulgarity and gore my friend. video games are not necessarily a childish setting.

your other reason is that other people are hearing your music, basically. i sure know that i can't stand it when i find someone else who listens to the same music as me. it annoys the hell out of me! this is actually a good thing man. think about it, they're taking good music and making it more available to a wide variety of listeners who wouldn't otherwise hear it because the radio sucks so much ass these days.

But yeah, the biggerdifference is the controller, you don't have a replica of a gun when playing CoD (although you might have a steering wheel for a driving game). I'd say Guitar Hero is more about the vicarious thrill of being a rock star and playing on stage in front of millions of virtual people rather than the vicarious thrill of learning/playing guitar in general. But that's just me.

I think guitar hero is fun to play with freinds, don't be hatin. i also like it cause i'll play a song and they'll be all like, hey thats from guitar hero man, your good. eh. i try to learn most of the songs on guitar hero..the solos take time..haha..like purple haze,B.Y.O.B.,Chop suey(rock band 2), lay down, barracuda, sunshine of your love, the metal! etc eh. so don't be hatin

Everyone's saying it's old news but still, I hadn't seen it mentioned on this site before.

I think it'll be awesome to have Lemmy on board in the next game, much better than having ''sting'' or that gimp from the smashing pumpkins in the last game.

Many people are saying guitar hero's stupid because it's a computer game... I wouldn't say it's stupid, but I'd sure as hell say it's completely redundant when compared to actually jamming with a band, and seeing how the whole world tour set was £200 (ish), there isn't much of a price difference between that set and getting REAL (if only basic!) instruments.
