Heavy Metal supergroup Hellyeah are set to head back into the studio in May to begin recording their follow up album to 2007's self titled debut release which peaked on The Billboard Top 200 Chart at #8. Consisting of Mudvayne lead vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, Damageplan bassist Bob Zilla, and former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul, Hellyeah had been trying to work with each other since 2001 but due to hectic schedules with their other bands didn't get the chance until a few years later.

Hellyeah's
Vinnie Paul to get an update on when the band will begin recording.
"We start recording the new Hellyeah record May 15th. I just saw the Mudvayne guys when they were on the road, Chad and Greg. We're all really excited about getting back. We're going to knock this record out and be on tour early next year. We had so much fun and thank god for all the fans for following us and giving us a shot. Man, we did really good last year."
Hellyeah's first album was recorded at the late Dimebag Darrell's studio, which obviously holds a special place for Dime's brother Vinnie Paul. Hellyeah released a DVD titled "Below The Belt" in 2007. Look for the band to book an extensive run of tour dates upon releasing the new album.
