Hinder Take Their Debut To The Limit At Number 4

Hinder's latest album "Take It To The Limit" debuted at #4 on The Billboard Top 200 chart after the bands election day release. The sophomore follow-up to their 3X platinum debut "Extreme Behavior," also made a showing on multiple iTunes charts in its opening week landing at #1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart and #2 on the iTunes Album Chart. The current single Without You has already broken onto the charts in both Top 40 and Hot AC formats continuing the band's trend of success at radio.

We caught up with Hinder just before the album's release to discuss the recording session for "Take It To The Limit" flowing smoothly.

 Everything Flowed Nicely For Hinder During Take It To The Limit

"It was a good process. We thought about how we were going to do it before hand and went in there and knocked it out. I don't know it was fairly smooth and everything seemed to flow nicely and fit."

Hinder also talked about the great chemistry they have with producer Brian Howes, who also produced the debut album "Extreme Behavior."

"You know we just have this great chemistry whenever Me and Cody get in the room with him and just three acoustic guitars. That's how we did the first record and why mess up what worked and we have great chemistry with the guy. He's an amazing producer."

Hinder are currently touring on the 7th Annual Jagermeister Music tour, which includes hard rockers Trapt and Rev Theory. Hinder will roll into their own backyard of Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 26, winding up the 17-city jaunt with a special Thanksgiving Eve show at Cains Ballroom. The tour will then extend until December 22nd in Indiana.

I'd love to hear anyone make as great of a debut album as hinder did, not to mention a sophomore album thats full of layers and layers of catchy riffs and melodies. i saw hinder once back in 04 before EB came out and they were god awful, but i just saw them last year and they have come so far. they are one of the most energetic bands out there right now and even if they do have a style similiar to lots of other bands, the point is that they really take it a step further. Sure, their songs may be about sex and drugs but what rock today isnt? so maybe all of you should quit bashing hinder and go write your own album so that the world can hear true rock music since hinder are just 'posers'

Well, i pretty much agree with your points, yet still can't stand Hinder. It might be the fact the bands you mentioned actually used their music as some form of expression, where as Hinder just rehash music purely for profit (and the luxuries being famous brings).The Beatles, Nirvana, VH etc all made genre defining music.....Hinder are like, the binary opposite.

I think the point is that some bands are out to make music with meaning while others are out to make catchy singles that they can cash in on. It doesn't matter if Hinder, Nickelback, Buckcherry and others get platinum albums because their music will never stand the test of time and be respected down the road. If they want to make music with no substance, then let them. Their music is as dull as the people who buy it.

Hinder doesn't write their own songs. Let me say that again hinder DOESN'T WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS. My dad knows the lead singer and he found out that they all had to learn how to play the songs on their first record. I think the drummer wrote most of his stuff though

The simple thing is motley crue did it well! they lived the image, read 'the dirt', it shows you how motley crue actually lived, and thats how they got away with it. I doubt hinder have had heroin overdoses, killed their mate while drink driving, hung their brother or spent time in jail.

Having said that, technically i should love hinder because im obsessed with 80's metal/hard rock, but these guys just sound like modern rubbish.

they were extremely talented. that is why they got famous. when the got more into the hollywood scene it turned completly into sex, drugs and rock n roll with no question. just because they were one of the first to do it does not mean that is what made them, yea it helped but they had talent, which i believe hinder has also but the lyrics take away from it. if they got some good quality lyrics then i would appriciate them a lot more.

a few of himder's songs are good. Its just a matter of taste because unlike most of the metal heads reading this reveiw (which, if you don't like hinder, why read their article?) I can say I like iron maiden, guns n roses, metallica, and hinder. There really is no reason to flame the band.
