Keane has released their new album Under The Iron Sea, and it features the brand new single. In conjunction with their album release they played halftime of the world cup in Germany live from their in-store in Los Angeles on Tuesday (June 20).
While writing the album, Keane holed up in New York City which gave them a little different perspective on writing for Under The Iron Sea.

"We came out to New York and we had a really creative two weeks. We were opening for U2 at Madison Square Garden at the time and we'd sort of spend the day in the studio and then go and play there in the evening. That was an amazing time for us. We had a lot of fun out here in New York, just recording. It's a great city that we love being in, so the chance to be creative here was a real shot in the arm. I think at that point when we arrived in New York we were struggling a bit and we were getting a bit in the doldrums and it sort of pepped everything up for us."
Keane's first single in the United States is "Is It Any Wonder," and its steadily inching up the Alternative airplay chart. Meanwhile, in their native U.K. Under The Iron Sea debuted at Number One.
