Paramore Songwriting To Have Fun On Upcoming Album

artist: paramore date: 06/10/2008 category: video news

Paramore rode the success of their 2nd album 'Riot!' to international recognition, numerous awards and a legion of fans the world over. With rumors swirling that the band wasn't getting along fans began to wonder if there was another album in the bands future. The bands principle songwriter, Zac Farro, has written a number of new songs for Hayley to sing and the band has begun to perform the new material during sound checks on their ongoing tour.

Video clip :

We caught up with Paramore and talked to Hayley, who is seated with brothers Zac and Josh Farro, about how the new songwriting is going.

Paramore Songwriting To Have Fun

"Josh has written a lot of music and we'll work on it during sound check and like always I'm a little behind because there's so much...he's constantly writing music. He's just crazy. I love the new stuff we've been working on. We're trying to have fun with it rather than writing it for 'Ok this is going to be for our new record.' We're just writing to have fun and I think that's where you really grow and learn more about who you are as a band."

This July, Paramore will play a few shows on The Warped Tour as well as hitting the road supporting John Mayer. Paramore have also announced The Final RIOT! Summer 2008 Tour w/ Jack's Mannequin, Phantom Planet, and Paper Route, with dates extending until September 1st in Seattle, Washington.

Tatakai! :
Awsome. It'll be good to hear more from them. I just hope that it's more like AWKIF, rather than RIOT! Can't wait

Possible. From what I've read there was a lot of stress during Riot! so maybe that's part of what caused the style change. I still like Riot! though.

Sound Mind :
i really like the first album, RIOT! not so much. i appreaciate when a band tries not to repeat itself, but i think that they kinda lost the spark they used to have.
