"Shavo Odadjian formerly of System Of A Down" FORMERLY? System hasn't broken up their just on hiatus, you wouldn't say "Flea, formerly of RHCP"

Perhaps this will inspire the Peppers to start recording again. Then they can release another cd. And then they can start touring again. Woo hoo!

Well Kedis was never really technically skilled. He has the charisma though, and that kinda makes up for it. Hope they do some more stuff like 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic'

actually, he knows very little theory and the science behind music. he talks about it in his master sessions with river phoenix. its a pretty damn inspiring interview.

^wow You know nothing about anything.
I liked stadium arcadium and the b sides to it. Yeah, there was a lot of boring songs, but the good songs were really good. Death of a martian was good and funny face is amazing. I do wish they would go back to their funkier stuff. But anything they do is good.

Altered_Carbon :
I really think it wouldn't matter if they never came back. Their good stuff is behind them.
I'll always respect them for being such giant funkheads though. I never knew they still had it in them.
And wow, Sly Stone appearing on an album for the first time in how long? That's pretty cool.

im glad they arent over, i think alot of people bagan to think they were done, but im glad they are still friends, and are happy with each other im hoping that they will go back to their old hyper funky ways, but i still love all their work

B. Arab Records :
I'm happy as hell, I thought this hiatus would've been going for ages, maybe even a break up for the band (come on it's been over 20 years since they got together). George Clinton producing another album with them would be awesome, although Rick Rubin does get the job done brilliantly.

So yeah... Bring on 2010 =]

if you listen to rhcp you should like all their music for what it is. All of their songs are good in one way or another. Is it alright to have favorites? sure. But when you sit there and bash Stadium Arcadium, it just annoys the heck out of me. Some people are obviously not open minded to music lol.

They need to come back...I dont care when, I just need to see them live once lol

i'd rather have them take the time off and come back strong then throw together an album when they aren't ready to. they've never created any crap music, and if a hiatus is what it takes to keep it that way, then i'll wait.

There was like, an EP's worth of good songs on that entire double disc. I don't think there were any great songs. They've passed their prime. I loved everything from their second cd through By the Way, including One Hot Minute. They were the first band I ever got into. But they really need to hang it up. John's solo stuff >>>>> current RHCP

Sorry for the double post but I saw this and had to respond. Are you kidding me? Oh man, it annoys someone on tarr intarwebzz, I better say I love Stadium Arcadium. It was boring. It's not interesting and it's nothing innovative. Not open minded to music? That's a f*cking joke. Being open minded doesn't mean you love whatever any artist you enjoy puts out.

This just in: the Chili Peppers are not 20 years old anymore. Them still writing and performing the same as they did in the late '80s would be fake and awkward.

Anyway, I listened to an interview with John recently when the interviewer mentioned that Chad had said they'd be back in about a year, and John got pretty much pissed off at it. At first he told the interviewer that he'd have to turn off the recorder, but later he said that there are right now no plans at all for them to get back together.

System has broken up , now if you want to believe that thats up to you. Serj has said that he is busy with solo stuff and Daron has just been an ******* this entire time. He came out and said that he has no plans to return to system and says that his band is now Scars on Broadway and he is not looking back.
