" I worked with Jonathan on the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack, and we hit it off. His drummer David feels like he needs to take a break for a while. He's been at it ten years, so he's gonna kick back and I'm going to play with Korn, which is really exciting and lots of fun."
He also talked about where the band is at with the recording and plans for the 2007 album and tour.

"Yeah, we've been working for two-and-a-half weeks now. I just finished the last two days pretty much eight hours a day overdubbing on some stuff they did with The Matrix and we had written about six to eight tunes together. We'll re-record those and we're start working in February with Atticus Ross producing. So right up until the record is supposed to come out in March. I'll be busy doing that until then. And then we'll tour Europe first in the beginning of the summer and then Family Values tour of the 'States in late summer."
Meanwhile, Korn will unveil an Unplugged album, with covers of tunes by The Cure and Radiohead. It also features appearances by Evanescence's Amy Lee and cure mastermind Robert Smith himself.

: Overdubbing The Matrix? That should be interesting. And that Unplugged album sounds kind of lame to me.POSTED: 01/19/2007 - 09:33 am / quote |

: Tha matrix is a production team that helps bands write songs when they can't come up with anything on their own. They were largley responsible for the songs on "See You On The Other Side". They have also written for several "boy groups" such as 'Nsync and bubble gum girls like Britney Spears. What has happened to Korn?POSTED: 01/19/2007 - 12:21 pm / quote |

: Korn started to suck right after Untouchables, besides their old news anyways. Their drummer got smart and left cause since Untouchables, they just been kicking a dead horse.. figuratively speaking. POSTED: 01/19/2007 - 01:07 pm / quote |

: pushing the fact that i really havent been pleased with anything korns put out in a few years(untouchables had 3 good songs, the rest were terrible. Their last really good album was follow the leader). This guy seems really good and really cool. I really appreciate a guy who can play with ZAPPA of all people and then go join a band like Korn. That firstly takes a lot of guts, and secondly takes a lot of versatility. I have a strong feeling that his drummings gonna be a hell of a lot better than davids, but now the real question is how will korn turn out in terms of writing. I think their really rushing this...POSTED: 01/19/2007 - 03:49 pm / quote |

the matrix produced the last album too, along with that atticus guy, and i think it turned out ok, though there was a track or two i always skip, but what album doesnt have those?
im looking forward to this one, mostly because i love hearing new things from korn. though i dont know how much different its going to be with a new drummer and a different style that he'll no doubt bring with him. im not sure im worried, but i do love davids style... i hope they dont stray too far from that.POSTED: 01/20/2007 - 11:25 am / quote |

Well, ever since Head left, they went to crap. Munky can't handle duties on his own (probably never could before too). The last album was so damn commercialized. Korn's days are numbered.POSTED: 01/21/2007 - 09:59 am / quote |

You know, this shit about getting a producer is retarted, if you can't write your own f***ing songs, do something else.POSTED: 01/21/2007 - 10:28 am / quote |

are you stupid? nearly every big band out there has a producer. they dont just sit there and let them write...the producers help with the kind of sound the album has...such as Metallica's St. Anger album had a garage-type sound (which wasnt that bad IMO).POSTED: 02/09/2007 - 11:29 pm / quote |

: korn arent shit, though its true untouchables was crap, and if you can accept a change in sound, syotos was pretty damn good, though it doesnt really have any classics. if you didnt know that they had a production team, youd probably say it was very good.POSTED: 04/24/2007 - 11:32 am / quote |
