Ever seen the show "How I Met Your Mother"? Well we have a feeling that a bunch of Rush fans are about to, as Geddy Lee will be making a cameo on the hit CBS sitcom.
For those unfamiliar with the show or it's plot, character Robin Charles Scherbatsky had teenage stardom as Canadian popstar "Robin Sparkles". For the fourth (and supposedly final) Robin Sparkles-themed episode, the show's creators have lined up a slew of appearances by familiar Canadian names.
In addition to the Rush bassist/singer, the episode will also feature famous Canadians
Alan Thicke,
James Van Der Beek,
Paul Shaffer,
Jason Priestley,
Alex Trebek,
K. D. Lang,
ex-Barenaked Ladies frontman
Steven Page, and hockey player
Luc Robitaille,
Metalinsider reports.
It's being assumed that Lee will be portraying himself, though that hasn't been 100% confirmed. Either way, it's pretty cool that a member of Rush will be on national TV, let alone possibly in the same seen as a former Dawson Creek cast member and host of Jeopardy. Granted, this isn't Lee's first encounter with a cast member from the show.
The episode featuring Lee's cameo is set to air on February 4.
