These tough, durable straps are made of woven fabric with tough, fake-leather ends and standard size holes to fit around the guitar pin. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and the strap is very lightweight.
What’s unique about these is the fun, eye-catching Beatles designs found on each strap. The straps used for this review include a “Sea of Holes” cow-print design with caricatures of each Beatles member popping out of the black bubbles, or a bright “Yellow Submarine” design with cartoonish takes on the Beatles members while manning a periscope. There are also more serious and straightforward designs, such as a black “Beatlemania” strap with just the words “The Beatles” in various typefaces. Clearly, these are meant to be whimsical and fun for all musicians.
An added bonus is that the materials that Planet Waves has chosen have allowed them to market these straps as “vegan friendly”, which is important for those musicians who try to avoid leather straps entirely. // 8

Ease of use: This is as straightforward as a guitar strap can get. Slip either end around the strap pins on the guitar, and then adjust the buckle to raise or lower the guitar against your body. The materials are high quality, which means the ends feel durable and grip the strap pins well, while the buckle adjusts smoothly and effortlessly, but still locking in place without any give.
Note that, like most guitar straps, the holes are cut for a standard pin size; the holes will need to be cut with a scissors a bit wider to accommodate guitars with larger strap pins, such as Paul Reed Smith guitars. // 9
Impression: The Planet Waves woven guitar straps are very comfortable, with soft sides that don’t cut into your neck while playing, unlike some lower-grade guitar straps. Further, the materials feel very strong and durable, and the buckle and ends all feel strong and resistant to any type of tugging or force. The Beatles Collection designs add a fun, recognizable touch to these already great guitar straps, for a hardcore Beatles fan or really any musician at all. // 9
