AJ-500R Review

manufacturer: epiphone date: 12/31/1969 category: acoustic guitars
AJ-500R
Epiphone has redeemed itself with this guitar. This guitar is rock solid and sounds great. It doesn't have a huge price tag and you get good craftsmanship for a great price.

Spud Spudly :
Why put 10's on this thing when the 12's were sounding so nice? 12's for an acoustic are still pretty light as it is.

What's the best thickness of strings you can get for an acoustic guitar? I'm thinking about buying this guitar!

It's up to you. I like 12's. But even my electrics have 11's.

I've owned this guitar (in the discontinued vintage sunburst) for 5 years, and it is amazing. I had an LR Baggs M1 Active pickup installed, which is perfect for this. also, try a set of Thomastik-Infeld's "Plectrum" strings on this model. I use the 12's, and it is the most amazing acoustic sound on the planet.
