The JG12 CE-12 jumbo 12-string sounds fantastic and is unbelievably comfortable to play thanks to its elegant Venetian (soft) cutaway. Features include a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, nato neck, rosewood fingerboard, chrome die-cast tuners and Fishman Classic IV electronics.

Features: This guitar features a laminate spruce top, laminate mahogany sides and back, rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets ands 12 srings tuned with die cast chromed machine heads. It has a single cutaway and features a Fishman 4t tuner built into the frame with controls for brilliance, bass, treble and midddle range for the electric portion of this fine electro-acoustic 12 string. The finish is a natural one with a satin polyurethane coating. // 9

Sound: This guitar has great range crossing easily from Folk to blues and even heavy metal, yes heavy metal on a 12 string acoustic, The action is nice and low so the playability and soloing are much easier than they first appear when confronted with 12 strings. It has a rich full bodied sound with the haunting chorus of the higher strings making a wonderful acompanyment to the deep clear bass tones of the lower set. I have played it straight up and amplified, though my Amp, Vantage VG-15 leaves something to be desired it sounds well enough. The sound is clear, bright, and loud if played with anything but a very light stroke. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: The action on this guitar as I have recieved it is great, it is low but produces no buzzing that I can discern, the neck width may be imposing on some players with smaller hands but is not oversized even for a 12 string and one becomes used to it easily. The fit and finish is near perfect with only a couple small flaws in the urethane coating in non noticable areads (back of the base of the neck joint with the body). // 9

Reliability & Durability: Though an entry level 12 string this guitar is most definately sturdy enough to go Live and survive. The balance and strength in the design are apparent the minute you pick it up. The hardware is mounted solidly and tuning controls are simple yet highly effective. I would be willing to go solo with this guitar any day, though people might get a bit tired of my simon and garfunkle. The finish is beautiful and should stand up for quite a while under normal use and conditions. // 9

Overall Impression: I like to dip from most aspects of guitar, from AC/DC to Toccotta and Fugue in D minor, this guitar is broad and plays all I've thrown at it well, from country rythm to lead rock. I have been playing 4 years and also own a Fender FR-50 Reesonator 6 string, A Fender DG-11 6 string, A traditions TG 550 6 string and An Aria STG Electric. I love everything about this guitar and it has taken over the spot of the resonator as my favorite to play, I would definatley buy this guitar over again given the choice. When I bought it I compared it in relation to sound, cost and playability to several Ovation 12 strings that were around and found the sound more to my likeing and the cost at half that of the Ovation. // 10
