This guitar really ticks all the boxes in the category of 'Stereotypical Mahogany guitar sound'. Simpler notes without all of the overtones you'd get with a Spruce top.

For their size, Martin Backpacker guitars have a surprisingly rich and loud tone, due primarily to the combination of a lightly braced solid tonewood top with a solid mahogany neck, back and sides.

This is a really good Martin for a good price. It's got a big, loud sound that it pretty dark due to the mahogany body. The bass sounds excellent, and note ring out nicely.

This Guitar was made in 2008 at the Martin factory- It has a solid top with rosewood back and sides. The finish is aged as it is a Vintage reissue model.

The only way I would recommend at improving on this guitar, would be the addition of a good quality pre-amp, just for the ease of then gigging with it further.

The DCX1E has a dreadnought cutaway shape with a Solid Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany Pattern HPL sides and back. Overall this is a fantastic guitar at an amazing price. This guitar could easily keep up with any style music, but it really shines with acoustic classic rock songs.

The DR is the rosewood version of the DM. Constructed with a combination of highly compressed wood fibers (high-pressure laminate, called HPL) and traditional tonewoods.
