Features: Made in Canada. Cedar solid top, laminate cherry sides, back, but these do not make the sound thin. The size of the body is generous and gives good resonnance and volume. Fretboard rosewood - dot inlays. Dreadnaught shape. Chrome tuners - hold position well, adjustable tension screws. Simple design. No flash inlays. // 8
Sound: Cedar top gives it a warm tone, has aged well over last 5 years to give a rich smooth sound, nothing sharp and harsh. Lighter strings make it brighter, but I prefer the warmth with phosphor bronze mediums. I works as a sold strummer, but given the space is easy to pick notes and with good action allows good range all the way up the neck, even for beginners. // 9
Action, Fit & Finish: Great action out of the shop. Easy to play neck, holds tuning well. Soft Cedar means it marks very easily, but quickly develops that loved worn in look. Staining on neck has lightened on back of neck- not an issue for me, but will not look new after few years. // 9
Reliability & Durability: Played most days all styles rock, reggae, blues. Handles it all well. No neck button means have to tie on strap-minor irritation as potentially detunes botton E. Easy to dent, so not going to do anything for cosmetics if you are aggressive with your strumming. I found guitar mag stickes add protection to bottom of soundhole/superglue. // 8
Impression: At this price it makes a great starter guitar, and even after buying several others it is the one I like to play, as it is so comfortable physically and aurally. Would I get another if lost - absolutely, can take it anywhere plays great and not terrified it is going to come to harm. // 9
