I play many different types of music, and it is every thing I could ever ask for in an acoustic/electric. It stays in tune really well.

This guitar has a very warm and bright tone, also has a full sound. It plays well with my style and it's very loud. The tone is evenly balanced, no fretbuzz, no buzz when I strum it hard. Too great for a 172-dollar guitar huh?

The classic combination of a spruce top and mahogany back and sides generates a warm, open sound that shines during solo work or vocal accompaniment.

I play several different styles of music and it's not a bluegrass instrument, but it has the setup and sound to be a wonderful alternative to a dreadnought.

So far, my Taki has been a good match for just about anything I play. It's great for blues, country, and just about anything else, with the exception of hard rock and classical music. Takamine builds the guitar around the pickup/preamp system and my ears can tell me the difference that makes.

It need an amp to sound good, but when you plug it in, I put it over most taylors and certainly better than any Martin I have played for 3-4 times the cost.
