Features: Electric-acoustic. Satin nitrocellulose finish dreadnought body. Rosewood back and sides with a spruce top. Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Comes with piezo pickup in the bridge and Fishman classic 4 EQ. Doesn't come with strap buttons though, so you're limited to seated playing. // 6
Sound: The sound of this guitar is rich and deep. It has rich mid tones and a very nice bass, with slightly muted highs. I don't need to plug it in to an amp very often but the pickup and EQ sound good. Overall a good sound for the price. This guitar says a lot for the increasing quality and value of some asian made guitars and where it comes from shouldn't put you off. Walden make some superb guitars and easily come very close to expensive US and UK brands. // 7
Action, Fit & Finish: The quitar was well set up and was ready to play. The plastic pegs in the bridge were a bit brittle and i had one snap while changing strings.. not too much trouble as I had them replaced with rosewood ones which look better. The frets are well done and there is minimal buzzing and the intonation seems to be fine. Overall build quality is good... // 7
Reliability & Durability: I have dented this guitar several times, some times badly and it holds up well. It makes a good all round gig guitar though the lack of strap bottons means it isn't the best option if you play standing up. All the electrics are holding up well and I haven't had any issues. The 9v battery lasts a decent amount of time. // 8
Impression: I also own a twelve string Walden D552 and both guitars are well made and sound good. It's good for practicing and gigging but maybe not ideal for recording. If it was stolen/lost I would probably get another due to the low price. Recommended for beginner and intermediate guitarists. // 7
