B15R Review

manufacturer: ampeg date: 07/27/2004 category: bass amplifiers
B15R
With 100 watts of tube output and a more efficient, custom-designed 15" driver and an adjustable tweeter, the B15R is still the perfect stage/studio combo.

Price paid: $ 760

Purchased from: Venue Music

Features: This is a great basic little amp for most occasions. Versatile but you'll need to add you own effects. Headphone jacks if your headphones can handle it. Good for recording or with line out to a good pa. // 8

Sound: I use a 1976 P bass but this amp more suitable to active basses. Very quiet and clean sound with that Ampeg growl. Get the volume up with contolled master is distorted but fine. // 8

Reliability & Durability: Built like the proverbial tank. Can be carried but didnt the other model have wheels?. // 10

Impression: I play rock&roll in all its forms. Have an old Peavy MK4 which is great for medium venues. The Ampeg has a great sound and with the right mix is as good as anything within the price range. // 8
