Ease of Use: Designed especially for bass guitar, the PX4B incorporates Korg's proprietary REMS (Resonant Electronic Modeling System) technology, and features 122 high-quality effects, 100 realistic PCM rhythm patterns and fills, 100 programs (50 preset/50 editable user), a Phrase Trainer, and a host of extras, all in a compact, easy-to-use format. A knob-based interface provides quick, intuitive editing. A total of 100 programs (50 presets and 50 user) cover a wide range of sounds suitable for all styles of music. 100 different rhythm patterns feature realistic PCM sounds and wide range of styles. Features Phrase trainer function, along with Auxiliary in with key transpose function for playing with an external sound source. Complete with Auto chromatic tuner, and built-in infrared stereo transmitter for wireless headphones. // 10

Sound: Ideal for recording, practice, composition or live performance situations, the PX4B offers bass amplifier models that range from vintage to modern. You can utilize the PX4B's Amp Dial for selecting any of the 10 bass amps, or for accessing the onboard Bass Synth. Each of the amp model presets can also be used in conjunction with the PX4B's Cabinet effect models, which offer user-selectable speaker configurations. The PX4B comes with many compressor/limiter, modulation-type and ambience-type effects, plus unique effects such as filter-type auto wah and a ring modulation that changes in response to your picking. Up to seven effects can be used simultaneously, including a fretless bass effect, and a newly developed feedback effect. // 10

Reliability & Durability: So far this has been a reliable unit. It's made of plastic but looks solid. Thus, it would be necessary to have a backup tool because it's just a plastic. It's geared for home use, and professional recording but it may be used also for gigs. Anyway be careful with it. // 8

Impression: Overall, it's a pretty good effect. Don't be fooled by it's size, have a play with one if you get the chance. With this unit, some of the effects add flavor, but are so transparent, they don't seem to be effects at all. For recording PX4B is a bit noisy but you could record with it. It would not be great but will do ok. Just don't drop it and it'll serve you very long time. // 10
