Woody, who passed away in August 2000, was an avid collector of vintage Epiphone basses, and this signature model combines the features that Woody found best for playing in his aggressive, rumbling style. It has a semi-hollow, single-cutaway, archtop body similar to that of Epiphone's Kat series but without f-holes. The neck is a 30" short scale for easier play. Mini-humbucking pickups in the neck and middle position deliver a warm tone. Gold hardware.

The pickups are too close to the strings so slapping is hard couse it always hits them and makes a clicking noise.

This LP Special is a great player, fresh refin by RS Guitarworks, relic' to look like like a true road warrior! Nice fat neck and the original P90's are pure rock n' roll!

As the name implies this bass design is based on a Les Paul guitar and looks pretty good. I really enjoyed sorting this bass out, it makes regular appearances and plays like a dream, doesn't sound half bad either.
