I play a fast and aggressive form of pop punk and this thing is made for it. I pretty much keep one tone so there's WAY more features than I use but it will be cool when I get older and venture into other genres and stuff. I love Jazz bass tone and looks and this thing has both and then some.

The Modern Player series was introduced in October 2011, as an affordable 'First Fender'. This bass include a real 'retro' bridge with brass saddles. Its has two volume knobs and one tone. It's a passive bass with two dual jazz bass pickups (Humbuckers). Overall it's an amazing bass for the price.

For any kind of classic rock this thing is perfect. The neck on this is the best I've ever played. If you're a beginner and you want something to learn on and won't outgrow anytime soon, I suggest this bass.
