Features: The model is a 2005 Modulus FBJ 4 string loaded with Bartolini J style pickups and a Aguilar OBP-1 preamp which also includes bass and treble boosts, along with a volue and tuning control. It has a 22 fret 34" scale with a carbon fiber neck. This means the neck will last about forever, it wont bow and doesn't naturally go out of tune. It stays the same temperature so it can't crack making it extremely durable. In other words, this thing is loaded. Although I got it off of ebay for 900$, it sells for roughly 2899$ for the 4string and 3099$ for the 5 string models. Mine also came with a custom molded gig bag, which sells for 200$ on the site, a very nice little perk! In other words, this bass delivers by giving you what you pay for. // 10

Sound: Since flea, the legend and mastermind behind the Red Hot Chili Peppers funky ways designed this bass himself, you can expect some booty shakin low rumblin booms. I have never heard a bass play pop/slap as good as a modulus. it's real punchy, but very quick to harmonize, I would not recommend this if you are not interested in harmonizing and funk mainly, because although it can play punk and metal, this thing just screams funk. I use it with a yorkshire 100 watt, and the amount of bass it gives off is incredible. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: Every nook and cranny is polished off to absolute perfection. If you had a magnifiying glass you couldn't find a issue with it. The pickups need no adjusting, all the bolts are very securely in place and it is spotless. As soon as you see it you will start drowling, cus it is jaw dropping gorgeous, but if you know modulus, you should know they couldn't settle for anything less. // 10

Reliability & Durability: As I said before, it has a carbon fiber neck, so it is extremely durable, much more durable then regular wood. There is no bowing as I said, and humidity will not effect it. It stays the same comfortable temperature. The finish is suprisingly thick, but you wouldn't want to risk banging this thing around if your paying 3grand for it anyways. The strap buttons need no adjusting, and holding the bass up perfectly, and remove all worries of it dropping. You should never ever do a gig without a backup, it's a stupid move and could ruin a show, but this thing is made for gigs. Everything about it is perfect, I can't stress that enough. // 10

Overall Impression: If this bass was stolen, I'd start saving my cash, because since I own one I don't think I could ever be without one. It's absolutely flawless, and for it does exactly what it's made to exactly when you want it. It's uncomparable, if your serious about funk music or rock music, then grab a modulus flea model as soon as you can. // 10
