Features: It was made in 2006 in Korea. It is a 35" scale bass and it has 24 frets. The neck is a 5 piece one made from walnut and maple, with a rosewood keyboard. It has a basswood body and quilted maple top on it. It has a transparent crimson finish, I think the company calls it "blood red". It has a Ken Smith kind of body, edgy. And like the other Trabens this one also has a massive chrome bridge shaped like a flame, and it is a string thru bass. It has active electronics, a musicman style and a jazz style pickups. The guitar has 3 band eq and it has a blender, so it has unlimited tones. Except those 4 knobs, there is a volume knob which you will use a lot because this bass is real loud. This guitar comes with grover locking tuners. The guitar didn't have any accessories with it but a gig bag and a strap would be nice, since the guitar is heavy and it is hard to find a suitable for a bass that big. // 9

Sound: This guitar has a blender and 3 band eq, so you get a big range of sound, the jazz pickup sounds bright and it just fits funk. But the musicman is very different, it is a bit crunchy and it is not as bright as the jazz, yet it is usually better if you are playing rock or metal like I do. The guitar has a fat and rich sound either way, even with an Ibanez IBZ10, it sounds that way. I run it through that amp and at school I run it through a 60 watt Ampteq (I don't know the exact model), and the guitar satisfies me whatsoever. // 9

Action, Fit & Finish: The guitar was set up perfect, the action, the truss rod, the pickup height, everything was perfect. The guitar comes without a flaw except the loose screws of the battery holder, but that was easy to fix. The action is easy to adjust and it has a great finish, it is a nice red colour and the pickup height is well adjusted, too. // 10

Reliability & Durability: This guitar definitely can stand Live playing, I played it a couple of times Live and it never stopped working right. The chrome hardware and the finish look like nothing will happen to them, and that is actually the way they are. I would probably use this guitar without a backup but to be prepared for any situation always keep a backup. // 10

Overall Impression: I would suggest this guitar to everybody because it is easy to play, it sounds good and it fits nearly every type of music. Yet, if it was stolen, I would go for a Lakland 44-02 if I could, if not I would go to the store and buy another one of this guitar. // 9
