Nick Mason: Inside Out
This is basically a autobiography of Pink Floyd written by the drummer with contributions from others inside and out of Pink Floyd. It's pretty detailed and it covers a lot of things, and it very wisely concentrates more effort on the parts that you actually want to know about, like the fall out and how they got started/syds decline.

Richness of Content: This is basically a autobiography of Pink Floyd written by the drummer with contributions from others inside and out of Pink Floyd. It's pretty detailed and it covers a lot of things, and it very wisely concentrates more effort on the parts that you actually want to know about, like the fall out and how they got started/syds decline. There's a lot of intersting things in this book but it could have been improved by some interviews etc, but it does manage to give an impression of what happened in this band. // 8

Style: Nick Mason has definately got a funny side to him, and it did make this book very easy to read because it didn't come across as too bias, which I think it would have done if one of the other members had wrote it. There's only two problems really, there are pages of coloured photographs in the book, but htey seem randomly put into place, every now and hten ot just cuts out mid-sentence and has a few pages of pictures, and when you get to the end you have to go back and check what the sentence wsaa sayign becasue by hte time you get to the end youv'e forgotton what it was. The other problem is that nick mason, as great a drummer as he is, is still a drummer. And therefore can't use simple writing devices such as paragraphs, which are non-existent throughout the book. he just writes a continuous string of sentences for every chapter. However he does write with a logical sense of order which I can garauntee wouldn't of happened if syd wrote it, and like I sayd he is quite funny. // 5

Overall Impression: This book was an interesting read, but I think that's only because Pink Floyd outstound me, I enjoyed reading it but there are probably better biographys out there, with interviews. And paragraphs. If you want to read this book, borrow it from a library because it's nto realy worth buying. // 6
