Sound: If you scroll down to the comments, you can see that I have made some very negative comments about this band. Fortunately, I am now open minded enough to make this review and not criticize the band. The music in this album is very radio-friendly. With a lot of slow love songs & things of the such. Their music has always been more of the mainstream stuff. No hard songs here (even though that's not a bad thing). Almost, if not, all of the songs are slow love songs. But there are maybe 4-5 out of the 16 songs that some might consider "rock" songs. Although there are no experimentaion in this album (which I always like), it is still a very solid album and more mainstream so everyone will find it easy listening to it. // 5
Lyrics and Singing: The band didn't tackle a lot of issues/subjects in their lyrics. mostly about love. Still good though. Their lyrics are good if you read them. The lyrics go well with the music. But in my opinion, the lyrics overshadow the actual music. Meaning that the lyrics are obviously better than the music itself. I have always liked Ney's voice. Not too mature though. My only complaint would have too be that in some of the english songs, he didn't do a good job in pronouncing the words that well. // 6
Impression: I really can't compare this with their debut album. Since this is the only 6CM CD I have. The most impressive songs would have to be I, Di Tayo Titigil, Umaasa, Trip & Sige (acoustic). The fact that this is more mainstream means that this is more listenable & more people would most definitely buy it. The only thing that I hate about it is that it can get boring/repetative at times. Seriously? I wouldn't buy this album again. Since I have it in my computer. A definite buy for all you 6CM fans. But for the rest of you, I recommend borrowing it first. Or at least listen to some of the songs before buying it. // 7

Sound: In a band, a fusion of emotions, sweet tunes and great lyrics should come from every individual involved. 6 Cycle Mind is one of the hottest bands today, not only because of Ney Dimaculangan's (vocals) good looks, but because of their music as a band. They reach out to people through their songs. The band just adds "emotion" to all their songs. The band uses alternative rock in most of their songs. // 10
Lyrics and Singing: Expressive, one word that can describe the lyrics. The songwriters really dug deep. They write songs which people can really relate to. It's just amazing how they can reach to the crowd through songwriting. The band's music emphasizes the emotion felt. And Ney Dimaculangan, the vocalist, outstandingly projects. He sings every song with the right emotion. The message reaches the listeners clearly. You can really feel what the message (e.g. I, you can really feel the heartbreak the writer felt). // 9
Impression: 6CM did a better job than their debut album, Permission To Shine. Two CDs and they're still standing strong. It's amazing how they evaded the "sophomore slump". The sophomore album, Panorama features the vocals of Ebe Dancel of Sugarfree, and Francis M. Included in the album is the acoustic version of their hit single, Sige, from their debut album. Features hits that topped charts and beaten out international artists, hits like Sandalan, I and Trip. What I love about the album is that I can relate to every song (I'm sure many of you would). I take really good care of my copy since I had it signed by the band. Final words: you'll never get tired of listening to the CD. Not a minute wasted. Every peso spent is worth it. // 10
only one word can describe this cd: BORING!!! i bought this cd thinking that i'd get fairly good songs. but was dissapointed to hear sleepy love songs! the only good song in my opinion is sige (acoustic). all the others are too long and yet too boring!!! i have to admit that the lyrics are fairly good. but the music itself sucks! and what's worse is that the band didn't write all of the songs. maybe only 1-2 were written by their guitarist!!! boring, repetative, annoying, worthless... dissapointing sophomore album...
you know what, turnfoot?? i can just say that you are.. envious!! why do you need to criricize the works of others?? of course, nobody`s perfect!! you can just criticize others if u can sing like them, you can dance the way they do, you can compose your own song, and.. you`re a professional critic!! damn you!! if u can understand tagalog. all i can say is, ang kapal ng mukha mooooo!!!! you know what, you`re nothing!!! nothing, as in nothing!!! yeah.. your turnfoot.. maybe, your foot is turnes.. balikuko.. ahahaha!! welwelwel... u can`t do anything now.. cuz those songs made them popular... and you have no right to criticize them!! or anyone!! cuz you are not popular!! you are not known!! you`re not as good as they are!! so, better watch your mouth!
Everyone has their own opinions, no need for name-calling, jumaden... Basically turnfoot is coming from a more musical POV, rather than the OPM-POV, which concentrates on catchy tunes and lovely lyrics. Comments are posted not to bash others, but to provide healthy biased opinions that make people think before they grab a copy of the cd. Ang problema sa mga pinoy ngayon ay di na tayo marunong makitungo sa iba ng may respeto. haha, naaliw ang ako't may 6cycle sa site na 'to at pinagaawayan pa 'to... please, please, don't bash people with their own opinion; lalo na sa international sites, nakakahiya eh
hey!based on what i've read from your comments about 6cyclemind.I thank jumaden for all the positive comments and for turnfoot, i guess your wrong!absolutely wrong!the band 6cyclemind is so fabolous, very famous and i really like this band ever since.I've watched their live performance and i was so impressed and amazed!all the band members are great especially ney, the lead vocalist..his voice was so good...and unique unlike most of the vocalist of pinoybands!they're one of the most popular and hottest band today!!!i like most of their songs and the revivals are also good..6cyclemind is the best!!!but if that is your opinion, fine!but it's better not posting it!!!
in my opinion, musically, this album does have a lot of boring love songs compared to 6CM first album...i guess they focused more on doing a bossa nova type of sound, for me they did succeed in doing this but they're a ROCK band damn it! they should have embedded that sound as their foundation... dami na talaga nagpapa-"pogi"...tsk tsk
First off ... The band is good for the philippines but not technically good. They have an audience and since the music industry is a fickle industry they have to cater to that audience. Guess what, in a place where doing love songs and ballads keeps you at the top of the charts you would either face obscurity or conform. They chose conformity. I can't say they are bad (my band plays sige for god's sake) but personally I wouldn't listen to them. And on a musical aspect they are DAMN boring. But hey that's our opinion and everyone has right to have one.
