Sound: This great live album has the quality of a studio recording. It's that good. But with it being live you can also feel the atmosphere. It is a complete show across two CD's. The song selection is great and the band have a massive sound throughout. Every instrument and vocals can be heard. Nothing new from the boston boys just straight up, no frills, bluesy edged rock n' roll. Which is all to rare nowadays. Joe 'f--ckin' Perry's solo's are spot on too. This guy is a legend, second only to Slash in my opinion. Joe's riff's are genius and sound even better live. The background vocals are also very clear. // 10

Lyrics: It's Steven Tyler for god's sake. We all know the guy can sing! But, the first few tracks are obviously warm-up's for him as his voice isn't as good as it get's later on. He does give a great performance and his voice can be heard through the riffing frenzy going on behind him. As it's live and it's Steven Tyler some of the songs get alternate lyrics. Not noticable all the time but careful listening reveals them. The young-'uns won't notice though. // 8

Overall Impression: It's Aerosmith at their best live! It's what the band is about. The often underrated rhythm section of guitarist Brad Whitford and Bassist Tom Hamilton gets to really shine. All the songs on the album are great apart from a couple of the ballads which really bring the pace that earlier songs set down. Their inclusion in the set seems to be just for the popularity of the song not the quality. They're not bad quality just out of place. Aerosmith are one of the greatest rock bands ever and this record is all the evidence you need. // 8
