Sound: Well I'll be totally honest, people will argue that their sound hasn't changed much for this EP and I would agree but it has improved especially with the song structures. Some very nice guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics. But I do just love this band although people argue they steal their sound from trivium and metallica I would have to totally disagree I believe bullet for my valentine are totally unique being that they are "metalcore" and not "thrash". // 9
Lyrics and Singing: Lyrically I think this EP is very good most of the lyrics are quite aggresive and destructive but this time Tuck pulls it off a lot better than scream aim fire. Very heartfelt stuff. And as for it's voice I would say it is totally amazing, thank god it's back. Much more to come hopefully. // 10
Impression: Well I like this EP a lot due to the variety it shows in the bands sound.
01.Ashes Of The Innocent: a very up-beat metalhead song with a rather melodic sweet chorus and another lovely kick ass BFMV guitar solo. Great song 8.5/10
02.One Good Reason Why: a quite generic guitar riff but the lyrics are quite catchy and there is some nice drumming work still a very decent song and one of my favourites. 9/10
03.Road To Nowhere: the unique song on the Album, A lovely acoustic start with very powerful lyrics and then a very nice metalled up anthem style ending. 10/10
04.Watching Us Die Tonight: probably my least favourite song on the Album, but still a very decent song a nice variety in vocal styles, shows a "toned down" yet still rather heavy BFMV. 8/10 // 9
