Sound: Collective Soul makes another great record with the 1999 release "Dosage." The album contains acoustic guitar to effects that you don't even hear anymore. The record has a fresh sound that is close enough to new but stays in the same territiory with songs like "Run," "Compliment" and "Heavy." // 8
Lyrics and Singing: Ed Roland doesn't surprise here. He writes lyrics that take in so well with the mood and feeling of the record is is almost sick. The song "Compliment" is a great example. He takes lyrics that seem they couldn't be sang to someone and he sings them and he sings them well. // 8
Impression: This isn't better then their self-titled album but it is good. I would always have this album. It had 2 big singles in "Run" and "Heavy." I think this album is underated and it is a little different as far as music today. They bring it on this album in every diverse way. // 8
