Sound: "Blasphemy Made Flesh" is the debut album of Cryptopsy, released in 1994, re-released in 1997, and also re-released in 2001 by Displeased Records with a different cover. The sound is improved in this album compared to the "Ungentle Exhumation". The guitars are distorted, but with far superior sound quality, like the electric bass, and drums. Lord's Worm voice is perfected on this album, going to be a monster screaming to have better vocal interpretation. It consists of ten songs, all excellent. The genre on this album is Old School Death Metal. Overall, the sound is very good, almost outstanding. // 8

Lyrics: The lyric speaks of death. The sound quality of Lord Worm is enhanced by the quality of recording, and much better understood than in the "Ungentle Exhumation". The lyrics are good, simply. To understand Lord Worm, it takes practice. Lord Worm does not usually make mistakes ever, especially in his debut album that will make Cryptopsy. Total, lyrically simple, but good, very good voice quality by Lord Worm. // 8

Overall Impression: This album is one of the best albums that can be found in the genre of Old School Death Metal. There are many artists to this type of genre. Especially in these times. Cryptopsy wants to make with this album, his own musical style (later will be seen in the masterpiece, "None So Vile"). Songs are excellent, "Open Face Surgery" (considered one of the best songs of Death Metal), "Mutan Christ" (a classic song Cryptopsy) and "Defenestration". Few bad things can be found on this album, maybe a boring song. The best thing is that this album is pure Old School Death Metal. With this album, could make the "None So Vile". This album should have it, if you're a fan of Death Metal. Overall, this album is especially recommended if you like Death Metal. // 9
