Sound: Massacration, the greatest metal band of all time. On their words of course. After 4 years since first album, "Gates Of Metal Fried Chicken Of Death", they returned to bring real metal to life again. The album kicks off with a fast attack, "Hammercage Hotdog Hell", a Judas Priest style song, with great drums and riffs. Other songs that deserve to be quoted are the first single of the album, "The Mummy" (also one of the best), "Sufocators Of Metal", "The Fire, The Steel, The Heavy & The Money", the track named after the band's name: "Massacration", "The Big Heavy Metal" and the power ballad, "The Bull". Amazing work on this tracks. // 8
Lyrics and Singing: If there's something that made Massacration famous in Brazil and other countries, that thing are the funny lyrics. "The Mummy is very sensual, the mummy is going to f--k you now" from "The Mummy", "This vacilation is not a headbenze, he's taking your cd's and emprestate it to another friend" from "Sufocators Of Metal", "She was at four, she was in my bed, with the big Richard kissing her ass" from "The Bull" are some of the many awesome lyrics that won't come out so easily of your head. Also Detonator is the greatest singer of all time (again, on his words), with sonic screams that can go higher than... Well, I don't think someone can scream higher than he does. His mix of portuguese and english, as well as the "embromation", make Massacration special. // 8
Impression: Even though Massacration is comedy band, created to make a parody of Heavy Metal, they sure know how to kick ass. Nowadays, they're one the best rock bands in Brazil, and maybe the world. It is just perfect for some headbang moments, and to have some good laughs too. I recommend to watch their music videos too, 'cause they are funny as hell.
OBS: The album is actually called "Good Blood Headbanguers", with the "u" in the middle of headbangers. According to the band, they typed wrong when finishing the cover. // 9
