Sound: The band Nekrogoblikon is a shining example of being original and impressively diverse while staying within the same theme/gimmick. This theme, is Goblins. I can't name one band that has devoted, well, an entire song about Goblins, much less an entire genre. The sound is epic, gripping, and efficiently clear. The CD itself makes idols of Goblins and the way the goblins terrorize humans and how the humans are hopeless in defeating them. Refreshing riffs flow into one another whilst epic stories are told. I would like to see their energy live one day on stage. // 8

Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics, though filled with stories of Goblins conquering Christmas, pirates, trolls, even outer space. The flow of the lyrics with the hearty riffs are beautiful and the highs of the singer really sound like a Goblin would at times. In fact, it's almost scary. // 9

Impression: This album is exactly what a first album should be: an introduction. Each song revolves around the Goblin theme and is complete with guitar and keyboard solos that compliment each other. My personal favorite song from them is Goblins Ahoy. The song itself is a masterpiece that deserves much more recognition, but the intro is just hilarious in the eyes of weird people like myself. The only downside (which is a major one) is the lack of diversity in lyrics. Goblins get old after a while, like, a month. Everyone should get this album if they are into a little folk with their metal. Buy it to support up and coming artists, or the Gobble-uns will get you! // 8
