Sound: Mass Romantic is a masterpiece by The New Pornographers. Yeah, Masterpiece, because how else could you call an album that just cautivates you since the right moment the music reaches your ears? Contagious and joyful, Mass Romantic will make you liftoff and reach heaven: it's pure glory. The guitars, keybords and synthesizers compliment the amazing and stunning voice of Neko Case on "Mass Romantic" and "Letter From An Occupant," that in my opinion, is one of the essencial components that make this band so great. The creativity of Carl Newman to get all these amazing melodies, riffs and catchy lyrics into 3-4 minute songs is just awesome! And also Dan Bejar, just listen to "Jackie" and, wow. I'm not going to compare them to any other band, because they are unique. You have to listen to this record and get the idea for yourself. It is definitely worth. // 10

Lyrics: Just focus on the sound of the NP for a second, and you won't be able to find another kind of lyrics for these songs. The lyrics are amazing, even though some songs have lines that are just meant to get some rhymes. It works? Yes. Does it make the music senseless? No. Some lyrics might be ridiculous, some other might be a bit exaggerated, but believe me, they all really get you. Well, that should be enough. Apparently, it is. // 10

Overall Impression: Mass Romantic is one of those Non-Stop albums you wouldn't even skip a single track. It has so much energy, the kind of energy, motivation and optimism that is hard to find. In a nutshell, this album is a remarkable and sublime compilation of nearly-perfection sing-alongs. This is one of those "Great albums you probably haven't heard about that you should get immediately," just a gem of pop. If you don't have it, what are you waiting for? It will definitely won't let you down, or leave your CD player for a long time. // 10
