Sound: Sound Of Strength is Resilience's sophomore effort. The album stays true to the sound they established on their debut (Never Give In) with the exception of Josh's bass tone, which has now lost it's massive amount of crunch in exchange for more mids and a jazzier sound. This album features more of the working class anthems that have established them in the punk scene of today. This album also has the tendency to sound the same after repeated listening. This is still a great album, but doesn't quite reach the acclaim of their first album. This album sounds a bit less raw, although it makes a minute difference overall. This album is noticeably more guitar-oriented than their last, with Josh taking far fewer bass breaks and a guitar solo in nearly every song. // 8

Lyrics and Singing: Lyrically this album is similar to their first. Fury still has his signature vocals and street punk sing-alongs. If you read my review on Never Give In, you'll get the picture. // 8

Impression: My favorite songs from this album would be Opposing Force, Sound Of Strength, and Still Not Dead. Their cover of If The Kids Are United does more than sufficient justice to Sham 69. Buying this CD would be a wise investement, but if it came down to this or their first, Never Give In is the way to go. // 9
