Sound: Symphorce make a very immediate impression with a mix of rough riffs and melodies. Hailing from Germany they are a difficult band to define in terms of genre. I can see some influence of bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Stratovarius and Iron Maiden. This band shows some definitive talent and fans of well written guitar solos will enjoy many of these tracks. There is no doubt a huge amount of power in these songs and also show a wide variety of different sounds (keyboards and different moods)

01.Darkness Fills The Sky: a good song with a variety of changes throughout its 5 minutes. Music is goo but the singing does not show full potential. It is the most popular song by the band but not the best (8/10).
02.Condemned: this was the first song I heard from Symphorce and from the first minute I was obsessed with the band. It has fantastic lyrics, power, variety and riffs. There is no part of this song that disappoints me (10/10).
03.In The Hopes Of A Dream: quite obviously one of the softer songs in the album but it does not fail to show heavy riffs and aggression. There are some very interesting sounds with this song (8.5/10).
04.Death Has Come: in the first 2 minutes of the song it grabs your attention with some very exiting riffs. But after that sadly the song begins to sound repetitive and almost ruined. But then the band breaks into a guitar solo to partially fix the problem (8/10).
05.Inside The Cast: this song is also quite softer and less aggressive. In the opening of the song there is a riff that immediately lets you know that the song will be fantastic. Powerful stuff (9.5/10).
06.No Final Words To Say: this is a perfect example of a variable song. Beginning with a soft melody it then unfolds into a much heavier song but still keeping the same mood and emotion (8/10).
07.Towards The Light: honestly the worst song on the album in my opinion lacking in many of the things that the other songs have. But what it does not lack in is energy and power. The solo ruins the song as it is actually quite annoying (7/10).
08.Ancient Prophecies: one of the very solid songs on the album it shows the important aspects of thrash, power and general heavy metal. This song is very impressive however the lyrics are not quite as good as the rest of the album (8/10)
09.Lost But Found: some very fast riffs and energetic throughout the entire song. Overall it is impressive but eventually I find it repetitive. A solid solo and complexity (8/10).
10.Lies: very different to the other songs in the album with some very mysterious and electrical sounds involved. But it has many of the benefit's that the other songs also show. Very impressive and exiting (9/10). // 10

Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics are not exactly outstanding but like the music they are very well written. There is no obvious theme to the lyrics but they do show some very mysterious, angry, happy and avenged themes. The music and lyrics are a dead set match as both match in mood and emotion. The skills of Andy B. Franck (singer) are fantastic and show some similarities to older heavy metal singers like Dave Mustaine. // 8

Impression: I recommend this album and this band to all metal fans but be aware they are not very popular so you may have trouble finding songs. They show a world class standard and have yet to disappoint anybody that I have shown them to. If you want to get into the band suggest you listen to Condemned or Inside The Cast. They are an irreplaceable band. // 9
