Sound: A band consisting of George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan just have to be good. And it is! By many small coincidences these legends got together in 1988 and recorded volume 1. Then Roy Orbinson died, and the rest of the group made volume 3 in 1990. All just for the fun and the music. After ten years where it has been impossible to get the original pressings, they have finally decided to release them again, and this time in a collection together with a DVD so you can get that feel you will not get from somewhere else! That feeling that the music is as old as rock it self. Volume 1 was created in 10 days, but the sound makes it feel as if someone used many years producing it! // 9

Lyrics: As said on the DVD, they made a song a day, and recorded them in the evenings. The lyrics don't feel that way. Even Tweeter and the Monkey Man, which Bob Dylan nailed in his second recording, sounds as it has been written over many months. The whole band writes every song, and everybody sings in some way. To hear five great voices sing together as they have ever done something else is so beautiful. When the five stars sings togehter you (at least I) get a tickling sensation down your spine. Orbinson at volume 1 sings with such a charm that it is so sad he coul not sing on volume 3. // 10

Overall Impression: This is one of the best releases of 2007 yet, and I'm tempted to bet it'll be the best of all year. The album is rock as it should be. Check especially out Handle With Care, Tweeter and the Monkey man and Wilbury Twist, they're at least my favourites! You just got to love how five of rocks biggest stars can go together and play so wonderful together, and another thing to love is that it isn't anything to hate. The music blends so perfectly together. There's no boring point at all in the album. This album is so good that it's likely it will get stolen, and when it does you have to get a copy of it, so you better hope it won't get sold out. // 9
