Sound: Sounds awesome. Great use of the violins and accordions with the normal metal instruments. The album makes you feel as though you yourself are marching to battle or sitting in the local tavern. Some people will not like it because they may not like the use of classical instruments mixed with the average rock instruments (guitars, drums etc). // 10
Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics are awesome. They go well with the viking theme, as they sing about getting drunk, going to battle, travelling etc. I really like the singers voice. It has a husky sort of sound, which would be expected from a viking I suppose. Some people may not like the voice if they are not into the metal genre, as there is shouting etc. They also may not like the lyrics because they may not be interested in the subjects. // 10
Impression: Personally, I love this album. It comes in with Victoriae & Triumphi Dominus which begins the album perfectly and then merges in with As Torches Rise which just sounds awesome. A few tracks later you have great songs such as The Messenger, One More and Sahti Waari, which you can't help but tap your foot to. The album also contains the well known songs Battle Metal and Rex Regi Rebellis. I recommend this to anybody into the viking/folk/battle metal genres and would definately say it is worth a listen. For some people, I would think it is either a love it or hate it issue. It is very different from your normal mainstream genres and a lot of people may not like it. // 10

Sound: The sound of Turisas is somthing I have never heard before! It's kinda epic songs with violins and with ancient feel to them. They play this kinda folk, death metal style. I know it sound a bit weird but this is one of the best albums I have heard recently. They sound like nothing else I ever heard. // 10
Lyrics and Singing: I can't really hear the lyrics, but I don't really care as long as the music is good. On some songs the singer dosent evern sing, they just do this little clips of 1 minute doing nothing, and they call it a song. Turisas was a Finish war god, so I guees all the songs are about war and stuff like that. Just take a look at the name of the album. But I'll give it 5 just to keep it perfect score. // 10
Impression: It dosen't sound like anything I have ever heard before. This album is one special work of music. The songs are kinda epic with this viking feel to them. Just look at it as "Lord Ot The Rings" music, but the metal version. I don't have any favorite songs, I like all of them. The only thing I don't like about it, is that this is the band's very first album and I don't think they would be able to top that in the second album. Just give the album a shot, you may like it. // 10
