Features: This Korean made axe is constructed using BC Rich's tried and tested neck-through technique, which means the neck runs through the body of the guitar, with the rest of the body becoming an extension of the neck, or wings. The neck is maple, the wings are mahogany and the fretboard is ebony. The necks profile is a Standard BC Rich C, which is relatively thin, and allows consierable speed up and down the neck. 24 jumbo frets are complimented by a convenient and good looking cut away, which allows easy access to the higher frets. The pickups are made by Rockfield, who are relatively new on the scene, but have exelled themselves with these Zebra Mafia pick ups. The chrome hardware is pretty Standard, with two volume knobs, one tone knob, and a three way toggle Switch. It also has a tune O matic bridge. It has no tremlo system, which would be pleasant, but does by no means limit the guitars capabilities. // 9

Sound: I play a mixture of metal, classic rock, and sometimes genres which require a cleaner sound, such as jazz and blues. Contrary to BC Rich's stereotype for purely loud and aggresive sound, the exotic classic is more than capable of producing gentle subtle sounds. However, when the time comes to crank up the gain, this guitar is transformed in to a screaming monster, true to the Legacy of BC Rich. The Rockfields produce a clean warm tone, a pleasant change to the twangy sounds of a Telecaster I often play. This Mockingbird is a suprisingly versatile guitar with the ability to play pretty much any genre of music. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: It is beautiful, absolutely stunning! The spalted maple finish blew me away, when I saw it in the flesh. The pictures do not do it justice. It is perfectly contoured, both front and back, and the four diferent woods used in it's construction work perfectly together. Aesthetically, this is the best guitar I have ever seen. Out of the factory I could not find a single flaw, everything is just the way it should be; no alterations needed. // 10

Reliability & Durability: I would happily play a gig with this guitar without having a backup, it has an extremely solid feel to it. The hardware is very sturdy, and the knobs turn beautifully. It feels as though it will last for as long as I will, and probably longer. It would be extremely hard to break, mahogany is very tough. If Chuch Norris played guitar this would be his. The attention to detail that BC Rich gave to this guitar really pays off. // 10

Impression: The BC Rich Exotic Classic Mockingbird in my opinion is the perfect guitar. It is extremely comfortable to play; I swaped a Strat for this, which just disappeared when I played it. This does the same thing, which is unusual for a radically shaped guitar such as this. It is very versatile, meaning that it is the only guitar that you need. It also sounds fantastic when shredding. Possibly the guitars best feature is it's looks, which draw attention from all angles. You can also guarantee that you will be the only person you know who has it because it is very rare. If someone stole it I would hunt them down, kill them, steal their wallet and buy seven, one for every day of the week. // 10

Thought this was funny! This guitar looks amazing almost like a silverish gold look to it.
