Price paid: $ 250

Purchased from: Supermusicdealer

Features: Made in 2010, USA-Clackamas Oregon, 22 fret, Nice not to thin or thick neck.Thick rosewood board, Solid top Royal Paulonia wood, Trans black finish, Strat style, Standard Vintage HardTail style, 1-vol, 2-tone, 5-way switch, HSS pickup configuration(Carlson), Vintage Fender style tuners. Bought a Guardian hardshell case with it. Also came with a free cord. // 9

Sound: Like to play a little of everything and this guit covers it except, Maybe death metal. I use it with a Vox Cambridge 30 twin and a Fender Mustang III amp. I think it sounds good through both. It does have some hum, But no more then a Fender does. This guitar throws out some nice tone. Purists will complain about the pickups, But they work for me and what I play. // 8

Action, Fit & Finish: This is where the Guitar shines! Setup is GREAT on these, No need to go and spend another $50 to get your NEW guitar setup. Action is perfect, Intonation spot on, Tight neck pocket, Pickups are finely adjusted, Finish looks nice, Bridge fine, Frets smooth with no sharp spots and level, Bone nut nicely cut, Controls tight and work like they are supposed to. // 10

Reliability & Durability: It will withstand live playing and wont kill your back doing it. Hardware (Chrome) is cheaper but looks solid and seems like it will hold up just fine. Strap buttons are big and solid, Shouldn't need strap locks for this one, Buttons hold just fine. I would depend on it, But would not gig without a backup from string breakage. Finish is decent but Paulonia wood is soft and If you thrashed on this it would probaly dent easily. But I do beleive it will last with some care. // 9

Overall Impression: Mostly play Rock, Some Alternative, Country, Blues, ETC. Been playing for 3 years, Also own Fender USA Strat, Fender Mustang Special, Carlson SG3 (Tele copy), Carlson PG61, And soon Carlson PG70 along with my 2 amps prevoiusly mentioned. DigiTech RP90 pedal, Carlson Metal pedal, And Behringer Vintage tube overdrive pedal. If it were lost, I would buy another one. I LOVE these Carlsons, Have owned Fender, Gibson, PRS, Ibanez, Schecter, Etc. And this has to be my favorite brand. Hence, I now own 3 of them with my 4th on its way. For the money they are OUTSTANDING and play GREAT. And they're not like everyone elses. I bought my 1st one a SG1 Start copy 2 yaers ago and never had a problem with it. Just sold it ONLY because I upgraded to this IG10, Which is basically the same thing besides a few upgrades=Better tuners, Nicer pickguard, Humbucker in the Bridge besides a single coil. Rest is the same. Build quality is what makes the Carlsons great, Its a players guitar, Not a Showpeice. May have a finish flaw in the paint but its solid and sounds good. Also Levi at Supermusicdealer.com is the BEST to deal with, A seller who REALLY takes care of his customers and cares about your satisfaction with his produts he sells. He can be reached at supermusicdealer@hotmail.com, Try him, You won't be dissapointed. // 10
