Price paid: £ 599

Purchased from: Andertons

Features: This guitar was made in 2014 in Korea, world musical instruments. Mahogany carved top body, mahogany neck, 24 extra jumbo frets 25.5" scale length, set through (meaning set neck carved flush like a through neck) satin cherry or black finish, I got satin black, which looks especially amazing! Tele style, with a bit of PRS style in the carving of the top. Reverse tele headstock. Normal tele bridge, Seymour Duncan Lil' 59 in the bridge and P-Rails in the neck. 1 volume and 1 tone control. The tone knob is a push pull that coil splits the pickups, giving a more traditional F type tele tone. 3 way switch. Non locking grover tuners. Comes with an amazing gig bag, superb quality, they really played great attention to the details here and everywhere for that matter. // 9

Sound: First plugged it into an Orange Dual Terror. Sounds amazing! I knew this was a great guitar but was blown away by the variety of tones I could get out of this. Without changing the amp settings or adding any pedals I could go comfortably between metal, Slash, AC/DC, RATM, even country tones. I like and respect Rob Chapman, and love his music. But you do not need to be a Rob Chapman fan by any means to love this guitar. Bridge humbucker is quite middy but in a good way, really can't get a bad sound out of this. To be honest if I had a signature it would be pretty much this. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: Out of the box had a bit of fret buzz when not fretting. Let it rest for half an hour out of the box, after that fret buzz was gone, neck was dead straight, needed a tiny bit of an adjustment, but that is England for you, dry and hot one minute wet and freezing the next minute, guitar neck hell, but had a great setup, so flaws, along the fretboard there was 3 or 4 blemishes in the finish, but considering how deep the grain is that is understandable. (The finish is thin but very nice and premium feeling, no fingerprints and you can see the grain very well). // 9

Reliability & Durability: All metal hardware even the toggle switch knob. Very sturdy workhorse type guitar. Would take it to a gig without a backup, solid strap buttons. Tone knob has no resistance when turning, volume has a decent amount, so don't know why that is. Finish will age beautifully, feels amazing to the touch. Will not chip due to it being satin finish. Even the string trees are very good, slightly curved to stop the strings getting stuck. Went from standard to drop A and back within 10 minutes and it was fine. // 10

Overall Impression: Overall this acoustically sounds great, I'm guessing that would partially be due to the chambered body. Medium to heavy weight. Rosewood fingerboard feels great with the extra jumbo frets, the guitar feels amazing. And as long as you have the right equipment among etc it will sound amazing too. The only thing I could think that I would want to come with it that didn't is a branded guitar strap, just because having a fender strap makes it look a bitnaff. Haha overall looks great, plays great, one of the nicest feeling guitars I've ever played. Love the sound too. I play Nuno Bettencourt and RATM style music, heavy funk as well as anything you can band your head to, and this guitar does that beautifully. Recommend this guitar to any guitar player really, your bang to buck ratio for this is off the charts! USA pickups, amazing construction, I would say to rival this you would need to spend in excess of a thousand, probably closer to 1500. By far the best brand built in Korea. Just wish it had more finish and colour options! // 10
