Features: This was made in 2004.. Idk where i was given it.. along with the amp that came with it.. which was an ok Fender amp.. good clean tone but super super noisy distortion... it has like 24 frets... a dark brown fretboard.. solid top, solid body electric... its got a black gloss finish thats basically a plastic coating.. Strat body style... got a cheapo Strat style tremelo that sucks!!! 5 way pickup selector with a volume and two tone nobs.... the tuners are just stander cheap tuners that are silver... all silver hardwear with white plastic pieces... all mostly cheaply made nothing that fantastic.. // 3

Sound: This was my first guitar, and for being a 50$ guitar, its not all that bad. The sound on it is solid (It has a H-S-S setup) but.. not fantastic.. Theres a good bit of buzz from the electronics but re-satering fixed that. The Humbucker pickup.. has a decent sound.. not very fat though.. and gets very muddy when fully distorted.. also.. very hard to get good pinch harmonics from this guitar (Take into account I have an ear thats above average.. so beginners will not notice this as easy). The middle single coil has a lot of hum to it... and is not very bright... but can create a neat tone for buzzy blues.. the neck single coil is very bright... but a little to noisy when not playing.. but its probably the best pickup of all three. Basically you can get a lot of tones out of the guitar... but dont expect anything high quality out of it. Another note is the sustain sucks!!! // 3

Action, Fit & Finish: This is its strong point! When i got it it had been played once or twice... its action was a lil high for my personal tastes... but it was fine. The strings were amazing! They sounded good and lasted forever! All the parts were in good order and installed properly. It really had no problems.. When you play it, it stays in tune fine... If! you tighten up the bridge.. and never use the tremelo.. that baby sucks! you do one lil dip and your whole guitar is out of tune. Now.. recently.. I took the whole guitar apart and took about 1/8-1/4 of an inch off the neck.. and reshaped the body.. and repainted it... i also changed the action on it... now it plays incredibly well... one of the best guitars i have ever played... (granted thats not any really really nice ones) but still its plays very well.. i have had a few friends who have played a lot more guitar comment on how well it plays.. but still lacks dramatically on sound... but repainting it and reshaping the body.. gave it a little more chunky sound which is nice! So... what I'm saying is with a little work this guitar will actually play nicely... and it was built well just resauder all the wires and it will loose a lot of buzz... another note is that the tone and volume pots make a lot of noise when turning them.. // 5

Reliability & Durability: I'd say... that its durable... i have dropped it down the stairs a few times and it still works just fine... the paint is basically plastic coating so unless your taking a chisel to it it holds... So... I wouldn't gig with it though.. just because of how low quality the sound is... and idk if it would hold up... i dont have much experience with that... but its reasonably durable.. // 4

Overall Impression: Basically.. for a beginner its a good solid guitar... I would recommend a Fender to anyone wanting to buy there first guitar! for me I have been playing long enough that its time to get something new... but its actually not a bad guitar to work with for upgrading... (what I'm doing) So.. if your a beginner! totally i would get this guitar! or any other cheap Fender electric! But otherwise... unless you feel like upgrading everything on it! I would buy something else... If this was stolen from me I probably wouldn't buy it again... I was handed this guitar for free when i said i was interested in learning... and it served the purpose very very well! // 4
