The one with the AVT150 is pretty uncredible because AVT150s have horrible cleans as is.

Some guitars arn't for everyone. And for everyone who says how bad it sounds on clean, the pickups are dirty fingers what other kind of sound would you want from those. I think this is a great guitar and Tom defintly deserves a Signature model and an endorsement deal.

euh dude the amp has to do with it
i've heard from somebody tom replaced the humbucker with a seymour duncan so i gues gibson wont give that with it gibson almost NEVER work with seymour duncan
that one guy who said you better buy a es 335 is right they are WAY much sweeter from sound
but hey i play with a sg an a les paul jr from 1975 and i love them so euh i gues my opinion doesn't count for much:d

Why isn't there Eric's Psychedelic SG from Gibson? They made his 335 but it's not the same.

all of you who have never played it but like toms sound live you have to remember that its also toms amps and he uses ALOT of amps so don't get this guitar because you like his live sound because you wont get that sound unless you use his amps

3 if you include the squier, even if it is exactly like the fender, its still a third guitar

Christ, that thing looks like they've painted it in sports-car colours & let it sit in either old beer or a case stuffed with used tea-bags - OK, so at the time they released it, he was a popular player, but This is like giving Tony Iommi a bloody Gretsch or a Rickenbacker - Just not the right crowd. The squier was a good idea, maybe an upgraded Fender version, but not this

actually no he didnt, he uses the rare "Dirty Fingers" pick-ups by Gibson...they sound the same as the invader, but a bit more distorted. I see where u you were gettibg at.

and just to add: This guitar is Fukkking Beautiful!!!

Fender_For_Life & forwhomthebells are RIGHT! Tom, What a Pimp!

very true... but in everyone elses defence as well he does have shitty rifts! who puts anthem part 2's rift in everything's magic with an extra note its stupid

I actually like this. I love 333's and 335's but the 333s are more practical. I love the Dirty Fingers pickups, and I actually DO like the color scheme. The only thing that turns me off about this is how versatile it ISNT. Like other's have said, it's not for everyone. And that's fair. Thats sort of the purpose of a "signature" guitar.

If I had an ES series (besides my '57 125) I'd most definitly have '57's in it. If I had 2 I'd probably throw in a Dirty Fingers just because it DOES sound cool, but it loses it's hollowbody feel imo.

In reality, everyone who bashes Tom for having signature guitars, it's simply just jealousy. You all think you're such hot shit with your arpeggios and Dimebag Dean's. The fact is, you're not, and you probably haven't written some of the most catchy songs in recent history. His parts are simple, but there's no denying they're good. He turns stuff that most people are afraid to play in fear that they wont look 'cool' into actual, good songs. Simplicity is in some cases the key.

the guitar has unique sounds i think. a little bit of classic touch. maybe tom wants it that way. besides, this is a signature guitar. i like the sound and the look of it, although don't listen to tom's music too much.

btw, could you guys "tom haters" just stop acting like a bitch. i mean, he is a sloppy guitar player. it's an amazing thing with that kinda playing he got sig guitar. but he is a good musician. goof ideas in music that others couldn't think. good rifts, and many peole love it. it wasn't his playing skills that made him deserves that sig but his creativity.
i'm a pure metalheads my self but i don't enjoy dissin' people just because their playing a little bit under your standard or whatsoever. so, just grow up will you..

Yeah, I saw Start The Machine(AVA Documentary) and the One he plays has an invader in it.
In the Booklet for I-empire you can see there is one with an Invader in it too.

sounds like the last 2 posters knew each other. the guy who plays for 5 years says it sucks but the 2 year old noob player says it rocks...hmmm i think ill take the 5 year players word over the 2 year players.

now...im a HUGE blink and ava fan. i love the sound of the ES guitars but i dont like the humbuckers...i love open coils. this is the perfect guitar for fans of blink or someone wanting a nice alternative to the typical ES guitar. i always wanted a tom delonge signature but it was too expensive. the gibson pickup gives so much high-gain punk tone. the semi-hollow design gives a perfect effect tone. the tone is perfect with distortion, the feel is amazing and comfortable..its good for everything dealing with punk and the new-age scene AWESOME

Then i guess that means the squire and the fender are the same and that makes 4? nah. He had a sig strat and has a sig es 333. thats two guitars.

ya well, sure the guitar sounds amazing, but i think most of the good sound is coming from the mesa amps he's using

its an awesome guitar love the look of it, but the strats way better... more punk. although the es 333 is more versatile so its better for the price

What gives? This guitar has ONE pickup. The first reviewer needs to stop buying things on impulse. I can't otherwise understand how a player of 5 years would buy a guitar he obviously doesn't like unless he bought it without trying it first which is a noob mistake, not something someone with experience would do. Reviews on UG are nothing to go by it seems. I've just finished my third review that has either blatant mistakes or outright lies in it. As far as buying an ES series guitar goes i'd recomend the ES-339. It's a shrunk 335, just bigger than a Les Paul, which i found much more comfortable and managable to play but still has the ES-335 sound.

do your research, he put the invader in the strat. not the es 333, he has a dirty fingers in it. he CUSTOMIZED the guitar himself. and theres a video about it, they brought back that pickup FOR HIM.
