Price paid: $ 235

Features: Made in China, 2008. Set neck construction, 22 medium frets, 25.5" scale, "C" shape neck. Rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck. Solid mahogany body. Black finish. Double cutaway style. String Through Body. One passive humbucker. 1 Volume knob. Non-locking, good quality tuners. Comes with an instrument cable, truss rod wrench, warranty information, and some Halo stickers. // 9

Sound: Hard rock and metal is what I play mostly and this guitar works great for that. The pickups have a good output with very low noise. I'm using this with the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier with 1960's Marshall Lead cabinet. The guitar sounds great for hard rock and metal, especially on the Mesa Boogie's channel 3 high gain settings. // 9

Action, Fit & Finish: The setup is flawless. Action and intonation are spot on. There were some small dings and paint finish flaws. Pickup height was correct. No fret buzz, dead frets, or flat areas. The fret wires were nicely polished and easy to do string bends. The nut was shaped nicely and with good action at the first fret. // 8

Reliability & Durability: The instrument is likely to last a very long time. The strap buttons are installed well and results with no neck dive. I would never gig without a backup, but if I had to, then this guitar would be fine since it is a simple, fixed bridge guitar. The finish is black with a nice glossy coat on top. I don't think the finish would wear off with lots of playing. But the pointy headstock might get dinged from a lot of use. // 10

Overall Impression: I've been playing for 10 years. The price is one of the best reasons to buy this guitar. The overall design of the instrument is unique, that's what I love about this guitar. One objection I have is with the lower cutaway; it could be made larger so I can access the higher frets more easily. // 9
